Codes - the basics

What is a "code"?
Every printed item we make - sign, sticker, window decal, NFC card - carries a short code like bH8pY. Scanning it opens a short link that you control: point it at your reviews, your digital card, your website, your WiFi details, a contact card, and more. Change it anytime - the printed item never needs reprinting.
How do I set up a new code?
Scan it! A fresh code walks whoever scans it through setup. Or go to My Items, type the code in the box, and choose what it should do.
What's the difference between QR and NFC?
Same code, two ways in: the QR is scanned with a camera, the NFC tag is tapped with a phone. Both open the exact same page you control, and your stats show which one each visitor used - so there's nothing extra to set up.
How do I change where a code points?
My ItemsChange. It shows where the code points now, you pick the new destination, done. The printed item keeps working.
What can a code do besides open a website?
Get Google reviews · open your digital card · call, text, or email you · open your address in maps · share your WiFi · download a contact card · add an event to their calendar · show a message · even take Bitcoin. Pick "Change destination" on any code and look under More types.
Can a code expire or stop after N scans?
Yes - on any code choose ⚙ Advanced: set an end date and/or a max number of scans, and (optionally) where to send people after it expires. Great for promos and events.
Can I make the QR look like my brand?
Click any QR in My Items to enlarge it, then 🎨 Customize: colors, gradients, dot and corner shapes, your logo in the middle, and a caption like SCAN ME. Downloads (PNG/SVG) match the preview. Always test-scan a styled code with your phone before printing.

Reviews

How does the review flow work?
A customer scans and taps a star rating. Higher ratings can continue to Google immediately. When someone reports a concern, we ask for a few private details so the business can understand what happened and follow up. After sending that feedback, the customer can also choose to review on Google. Every customer keeps the Google review option.
Where do I see ratings and feedback?
The Dashboard shows reviews, private feedback to follow up on, and what customers love. Feedback also lands in your email.

Cards & team

What's a digital card?
A tap-friendly page for your business or a person on your team - save-to-contacts, reviews, links, hours, quote requests. You can have several: reception sign, each team member, a review-focused one. My ItemsMake something new, and start from a template so it's never blank.
Can team members manage their own cards?
Yes. Add them under Team; they sign in with their own login and manage only the cards and codes assigned to them.

Bookings, events & giveaways

Can customers book appointments with me?
Yes. Turn any code or card into a booking page - customers pick a time and everyone gets a calendar invite. Set your hours and days off under Appointments, and choose per-staff or shared availability.
How do event codes work?
Point a code at an event and it opens a clean, branded event page with one-tap add to calendar (Apple, Google, Outlook), a map, and RSVP - no more files that force-download. Great for open houses, sales, and grand openings. Start one from My ItemsMake something new.
Can I run a giveaway or contest?
Yes - Contests collect entries (and contacts) while people wait to win, so a promo also grows your list. You pick the winner when it ends.

Leads & quotes

Where do quote requests and contacts go?
Into one place: Leads. Every quote request, saved contact, and private note lands there with reminders, so you can follow up by call, text, or email in a tap - and export the list anytime.
Can you print my signs and cards?
That's what we do. Design a card in My Items, or open any item and choose Order prints - we produce and ship it. Blank NFC cards and bulk orders are available too.

Stats

What do my scan stats mean?
Scans = every time someone opened a code. Estimated unique visitors = our best approximation of how many different people that was, counted by network address plus device - it's a helpful estimate, not an exact headcount (it can miss people who share one connection, or count someone twice if they return on a different network). On 📊 Scans you'll also see QR vs NFC, devices, top cities, when you get scanned, a scan-by-scan log, and a compare view showing what each code produced. Click any code's numbers to see just that code.

Account

How do I change my logo, colors, or details?
🎨 Customize in the top bar: business details, logo (we can find it from your website), brand color, and password. Page content - hours, links, your Google review link - lives in the page editor.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page choose Forgot password? - we email you a link that works once and expires in an hour.
Something looks empty or signed-out that wasn't before.
Nine times out of ten that's a connection hiccup, not lost data. If the sign-in page shows a database warning, the site will say exactly what needs attention - your data is safe.

Advanced

What's the exact link an NFC tap opens?
You never need this to use your codes - we handle it. For the curious: a tapped NFC card opens your code's link with an n on the end (so bH8pY becomes bH8pYn). It lands on the same destination as the QR; the n is only there so your stats can tell taps apart from scans.
